At Page Pairings, we pair each wine with a book that shares its spirit. Your $35 ticket includes tastings of 6 wines and your choice of one of our featured book to take home. Featured wines will also be available for purchase at special event prices.
Enjoy booksellers sharing their favorite Fall reads (all of the books won’t be spooky) and meet author Katie Ortiz, who will be presenting her new witchy novel, The Southern Sorority of Superstitious Witches.
About the Book:
Three women—Lucille, Catherine, and Victoria—join a trial semester for women at a prestigious Alabama university after the Civil War, each hoping to escape personal struggles and restrictive expectations.
When sexism and harassment from their male classmates threaten the program’s success, the women secretly form a coven disguised as a sorority and use Southern folk magic to fight back. But they soon discover a darker supernatural force working against all them. To protect themselves and secure women’s right to higher education, they must gather allies and confront both institutional discrimination and supernatural danger.
