One of my favorite NC writers revisits the difficult and inspiring life of Ella May Wiggins–1929 mill laborer, single mother, unionist. Wiggins fought for equality and justice way before it was “okay for women to do so.” Wiggins was an OG Resister–but hers is a story you won’t be able to resist.
Parking is available along Magnolia Ave. and at the Gay St. parking lot. Downtown parking is $1/hour Mon-Fri from 8am-6pm and is free after 6pm and on weekends. Parking is also free on City holidays and during breaks between AU semesters.
Additional parking is available in the Wright Street and Auburn Bank Burton Street Parking Decks. Both parking decks charge $1/hour seven days a week. Special event pricing may apply.
