We are so excited to welcome Dr. June Samuel for an In Conversation event celebrating her first book, The Audacity to Carry On: Abiding Love Across the Miles.
BOOK SUMMARY
The Audacity to Carry On is a collection of uplifting stories amidst changes and challenges. It follows three generations of a family and their life experiences in India and the United States. The stories combine to create a tapestry of different cultures woven together by their Christian faith, their interest in helping those who are in need, and having the audacity to keep going, continue living, and shining.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Samuel is a physician and counselor. She obtained her medical degree is from Madras Medical College, India, and a degree in counseling from Tuskegee University. She worked in administrative roles at Tuskegee University for many years, including Director of Health Services. She is also the founder and executive director of Serene Light, a non-profit volunteer network organization.
