Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers together with Auburn UMC, Auburn University College of Liberal Arts Inclusive Excellence, and Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for Arts & Humanities are proud to present a conversation with Lynda Blackmon Lowery.
Mrs. Lowery was one of the youngest protesters to march across the Edmund Pettus bridge on what became known as Bloody Sunday. She shares her memories of their march from Selma to Montgomery in her book, “Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom.”
Join us on Wednesday, February 28th at 6:30PM at AUMC to hear from Lynda Lowery herself about her continuing work in the Civil Rights Movement.
